1 what is SQL
A. It's a Structure Query Language.

2 What are database triggers?
A. Database triggers are stored procedures which implicitly executed when a triggering statement such as INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE is issued against the associated table.

3 What COMMIT does?
A. Makes the changes permanent in the database.

4 What ROLLBACK does?
A. Undo the current changes.

5 Wat is a Save point?
A. Its a point for a particular block to do COMMIT/ROLLBACK.

6 What is a DML?
A. Data Manipulation Language. With DML we INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE the data in the database.

7 How many types of Exceptions we have?
A. Two (2). Standard and user defined exceptions.

8 Name few standard Exceptions.
A. NO_DATA_FOUND, TWO_MANY_ROWS, CURSOR_ALREADY_OPEN, INVALID_FILE_PATH, etc..

9 Why DECODE?
A. It works like IF control statement.

10 What is the difference between DELETE and TRUNCATE?
A. DELETE requires COMMIT to makes the changes permanent, where as TRUNCATE permananetly removes the data from the database without the help of COMMIT statement.

11 What is a pseudo column?
A. Behaves like a column but not part of any table.

12 Name few pseudo columns.
A. CURRVAL, NEXTVAL, ROWID and ROWNUM.

13 What is the maximum number of columns a table can have?
A. 254.

14 Can we use SELECT in FROM clause of a SQL SELECT?
A. Yes.

15 What is DDL?
A. It is Data Definition Language. To define or alter the objects like Tables, Views, Procedures.....etc..
